Whether your organization is large or small,
I can provide a variety of comprehensive grant services
to help you meet your funding needs.

RESEARCH

Donor/Prospect Research:   Through research, I will develop a list of potential funding sources for your organization based on common areas of interest. This list may include foundations, government funding streams, businesses and individuals.  I can also provide research on specific individuals within your existing database.

Grant Research:  If your organization already has a proposal prepared, but has not identified a funding source, I will help you to locate new sources for your proposal.

PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT

Grant Writing:  I will develop and write grant proposals designed to meet your organization's funding needs. I will prepare all documents for submission, submit the proposal to the funding source and assist you with following-up once the submission is complete.

In addition, if you have a proposal already prepared, I can review your document before you submit it to the funding source.  I will proofread it for clarity and help you to make sure that it is in line with the Request for Proposal and funding guidelines.  As part of this process, I will identify the strengths and weaknesses of the proposal and make suggestions for improvements.

THE PROCESS

Initially, I will meet with you at no charge, to talk about your funding needs as well as the goals and objectives of your program or project. During this meeting, we will talk about ways in which I can assist you to meet your fundraising goals.

Based on the outcome of that meeting, I will provide you with a cost estimate for research and/or grantwriting as your needs dictate.

To protect the interests of your organization as well as my own, I do require a signed contract prior to beginning any project or program-specific research or grant development activities.

You may contract my services on a project-by-project basis or for a longer-term depending on your needs.  Some organizations prefer to have ongoing, consistent grant support while others have only a temporary need when, for example, their grants person is on a family leave or they are coming in to the home stretch on a capital campaign and are seeking additional grant dollars to meet their goal.

Whatever your research and grantwriting needs, I am flexible in working out an arrangement that suits you and your organization.

COSTS

I provide research and grantwriting services at a competitive hourly rate that takes into account the size of your organization and the scope of the work involved.

You have the right to set a "not-to-exceed" amount prior to my beginning any research for you. You may select the type of funding sources you are hoping to identify and I will focus my research efforts on that area.

The investment of time in proposal development generally depends on the complexity of the application. I will discuss this with you and provide you with an estimated time to complete the proposal prior to beginning any proposal development.

I will also consider working for your organization on a retainer basis at a reduced hourly rate. The advantage of this is that you will have reserved a specific number of my hours each month that will be devoted solely to your organization. In addition, this reduces your cost for grantwriting and ensures that I will be available for your projects when you most need my services.  Retainers must be for a minimum of three months.
